About SRIMF
Established in 2014, the Singapore Raffles International Music Festival (SRIMF) has grown into one of Southeast Asia’s leading international youth music festivals and competition platforms, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of young musicians and creating meaningful opportunities for performance, learning and international exchange.
Since its early years, SRIMF has been at the forefront of developing chamber music, ensemble and large instrumental group competitions in the region. Over 12 successful editions, the festival has welcomed more than 20,000 young musicians from 27 countries and regions, including school string ensembles, symphony orchestras, concert and wind bands, community youth orchestras, chamber groups and solo musicians.
Each year, young musicians from different cultural and educational backgrounds come together in Singapore to perform, exchange ideas and learn from one another through music. Many schools and ensembles have returned to SRIMF more than once, with some participating year after year, creating lasting musical connections and friendships across countries and cultures.
Supported by the Raffles Musicians Association in Singapore, SRIMF works closely with distinguished adjudicators, professional musicians and music educators from Singapore and around the world. The festival is committed to maintaining professional adjudication standards and providing young musicians with opportunities to perform in some of Singapore’s finest concert halls and professional music venues.
Beyond competitions, SRIMF offers a wide range of educational and artistic experiences through masterclasses, workshops, seminars, festival concerts and award winners’ performances. International exchange has always been an important part of the festival, with collaborations and musical activities connecting Singapore with musicians and institutions across Asia, Europe and other parts of the world. These experiences allow young musicians not only to develop their performance skills, but also to broaden their perspectives and build friendships through a shared passion for music.
SRIMF believes that a music festival is more than a competition. It is a place where young musicians can discover their potential, experience the excitement of performing on an international stage, learn from inspiring artists and educators, and connect with fellow musicians from around the world.
As SRIMF continues to grow, we warmly welcome new and returning musicians, schools and ensembles to be part of our journey. Together, let us dream bigger, perform with passion, inspire one another and create new musical memories in Singapore.
Join us and be part of the continuing journey of the Singapore Raffles International Music Festival.
